The Relational Schools team are a group of researchers, academics, teachers, and consultants who all share a desire to transform education. Through our own diverse experiences of school, and our different specialist backgrounds, we are convinced that the secret to a better society is improved social relationships. 

Dr Robert Loe

Dr Robert Loe

Director
Dr Robert Loe is the Director of the Relational Schools Foundation. Having worked in education for over eighteen years with a range of leadership roles in schools throughout Essex and Cambridgeshire, Rob founded Relational Schools Project in 2014. He researches, writes and speaks on the importance of fostering positive relationships between key stakeholders in schools.
Ben Gibbs

Ben Gibbs

Business Development Consultant
Ben Gibbs leads RSF’s intervention work. He has taught and worked in educational policy and assessment, and consulted on curriculum, leadership and organisational strategy. He holds postgraduate qualifications in teaching, educational leadership and organisation development.
Samuel Verbi

Samuel Verbi

Research Associate
Samuel Verbi is an Associate, supporting RSF’s research programme. He has worked as a professional researcher since graduating with a Masters in Sociology in 2015, and has experience in both the UK and US. He has a passion to use research to authentically tell the stories that matter.

Education Consultant
Rhian Williams is our education consultant with over 10 years of experience delivering holistic advice to schools and think tanks on education policy. Having worked in numerous educational trusts and councils, she brings a wealth of knowledge into translating research into meaningful impacts for teachers and students.
Alison Fox

Alison Fox

Senior Research Associate
Alison Fox is a Senior Lecturer at the Open University. After training as a secondary school science teacher, Alison moved into initial teacher training and research about and for the support of beginning teachers. She has been working with Relational Schools to develop and deploy a sociomapping technique to support beginning teacher retention.
Renate Vink

Renate Vink

Network and Communications Manager
Renate Vink manages all communications and events for Relational Schools..Her years of experience in administration and student relations is enhanced by significant experience of organising various events ranging from large international gatherings to student graduation ceremonies and local music events.
Ben Winkley

Ben Winkley

Data Strategist
Ben is a professional statistician with four years experience working for the British Government. Having obtained his masters in statistics, his areas of expertise lie in quantitative research methodology, statistical analysis, data visualisation and communication of academic research data to non academic audiences.
